Ski Club

Goals/Objectives:         To provide a co-ed winter activity focused on skiing as a recreational activity. Skiing activities are available for all levels from beginners to expert abilities, but are not limited to cross-country skiing, down hill skiing, and white water rafting.

Policy: All MRHS school rules and administrative polices are in effect throughout the entire ski club activity periods. Advisors have the right to make changes in the itineraries and departure times as they deem necessary.  Students will be responsible for full payment for any personal damage to private property caused by that individual.  Students are responsible to secure the necessary safe and proper equipment for all ski activities; and arrange for transportation to and from the bus departure site.  Students are to allow the advisors to examine all personal equipment and items for any illegal or improper materials.  Advisors will be allowed to inspect all student dormitory sites (weekend trips). 

The advisor will conduct club informational meetings; make all arrangements and reservations for ski club activities; maintain a financial record of the club’s school account; will conduct fund-raising activities; obtain and maintain student permission forms and medical history form/parent release from for each member; provide assistance to students in developing their skills in all ski club activities, and to help develop good student responsibility and good sportsmanship qualities.

Cancellation  Policy: Cancellations received outside of 30 days are subject to FULL refund, less any additional charges levied to the group of members of the group as a result of student cancellation.
