  2. School rules are enforced. Be familiar with the student handbook.
  3. Students are expected to come to class prepared with book, supplies, and assignments.

Notes:

Notes are given in class daily.  The outline for each day’s notes is available on the teacher website in advance of the day. All additions to outline, including problem solutions and answers to in class questions, are posted at the end of each day for referral. Please refer to the website for notes as soon as possible when you are absent.

Assignments:

Mathematics is learned best by practice.  Therefore, it is very important that all assignments are honestly attempted each day.  All assignments are posted on the teacher website. Assignments should be completed on collectable paper as they will be collected at random times for assessment and evaluation.

Tests/Quizzes:

Quizzes will be given intermitted throughout a unit and tests at the end of a unit and will be announced well in advance of the assessment as well as being posted on the teacher website. Many tests will have both a take home and in class component. Collaboration is encouraged on the take home portion of assessment however, all students must submit work that has ultimately been completed independently (not copied).

Grades:

Quarter grades will be calculated by dividing the total points earned on assessed assignments, quizzes, and tests by the total points possible.
