"The Stang" WMRH-LP 101.7 FM
The Federal Communications Commission granted Mainland Regional High School a Low Powered FM Radio License in 2004.  In the fall of 2006, WMRH-LP The Stang broadcasted Bruce Springsteen’s “Born To Run” as its’ first song.  The station is regulated to 100 watts and transmits in a 10 mile radius of Mainland Regional.  Students DJ and create various commercials and announcements for the radio station.  The Stang offers a variety of music, with each day featuring a specific genre.  Daily playlist includes Alternative, College, Current Hits and Rock music.  In the future, 101.7 hopes to offer live broadcasts of sporting events held at MRHS.
